Your Relationship with Yourself and Others
Whether it’s chronic stress, low mood, anxiety, or a major life change, therapy can add a layer of support.
Therapy doesn’t have to be endless talking and go on forever. Modern therapy is more effective through using somatic and other integrated approaches to get to the essential emotional blocks or uncover emotional blind spots.
Once the essential emotions are acknowledged and worked through, you can decide what behavioral or relational changes you want to make in your life in an easier way.
Wanting More Out of Life
Getting stuck in patterns of living that are unfulfilling and more about managing stress rather than finding enjoyment is a common struggle for many.
You may have a clear picture of the way you want to show up at work, the workout routine you would like to maintain, the diet that keeps you feeling your best, but struggle to make these habits permanent parts of your life.
Similarly, you may want to make room for a larger life purpose, spiritual practice, or time in nature, but struggle to find the time to consider these parts of your overall health.
Living the lifestyle that works for you is attainable with some outside help.
That Is Where I Come In
I take a holistic approach to therapy that considers the whole person, their relationships, and their unique life circumstances.
I use an integrated somatic, cognitive, and relational/systemic model for therapy. A unique and personalized treatment plan is created for each client.
This approach is effective in working with a wide range of stressors from seeking a later-life career change to childhood developmental attachment trauma.
Regardless of the level of stress you may be experiencing right now, I can help you address over-reliance on unhealthy survival skills or unwanted habits, give you clarity regarding your behavioral and emotional patterns, and propel the permanent changes you want to make.
How the Process Works
The first stage of the therapy process is collaborating with the therapist on establishing goals related to the most important changes you want to make.
Next, we will work on insight development to support a clear understanding of the different forces impacting you and your life. We clearly identify the factors causing the most stress.
“With compassionate support, I will help you translate old patterns into behaviors that are more adaptive to a happy and productive adult life. We will work until these changes are well-established and permanent.
You can expect me to give consistent feedback, be interactive in session, and connect you to supplemental resources such as books, podcasts, and blog posts that enhance the therapy experience and lead to further growth outside of sessions.
Addressing Your Needs
Together, we will establish clarity about the challenges in your life and how to address them.
Old patterns and difficult emotions will be addressed and worked through at a pace that works for you.
My goal is to support your personal growth in a way that leads to a healthy body and mind. You can end the process when you are ready and often with more energy and a greater sense of well-being.
Releasing What No Longer Serves You
We will be careful not to dig up the past in a way that can be unnecessarily hurtful. At the same time, I will strategically equip you with tools for emotional regulation when past hurts come up in session.
A difficult childhood or difficult past experiences do not have to keep creating unwanted patterns in your life.
With the help of an experienced and compassionate professional, you can go further on your personal growth pursuits.
The changes you want to make can be achieved through modern therapy that integrates attachment theory, neuroscience, trauma research, and research-supported therapy processes.
Benefits of Therapy
After working with me, clients often experience feeling more like themselves and an increased connection to their bodies, needs, desires, and loved ones.
Many therapy graduates report feeling more in control of their time and feeling less stuck in the past.
By the end of our time together, many cleints report feeling better physically, more consistent positive moods, increased energy, and more fulfilling relationships.
