About Therapy

2372756683From Your First Session

We will work toward matching your goals with your unique situation. I will be your companion as doubts and challenges will be addressed, and you will receive the support you need for your emotional growth.

Trust and feeling comfortable with your therapist is the best first step in a successful therapy process.

I’ll work to establish and maintain your trust as I provide empathic support, reflection, feedback, and new education.

Physical, Emotional, Relational, and Spiritual

Your therapy will be approached within the broader picture of your overall physical, emotional, relational and spiritual health.

Each piece is hugely important in its own way, and the biological, psychological, social, and spiritual needs must all be met for each person to feel their very best.

I will keep track of the models of therapy being used and how they are changing and impacting your biological, relational, emotional, and spiritual life.

This frees your energy and attention to focus on the work happening in the here and now.

Developing Your Core Skills

You will find ease and comfort in becoming curious about your own life and challenging certain patterns that might contribute to keeping you stuck.

During therapy, goals are often achieved and new ones developed, establishing a new direction moving forward.

You will see, feel, and experience the process of change unfolding in a way that leaves you feeling confident with a sense of hope about your inner and outer worlds.

About Ross Kellogg, LMFT

AdminMy Mission

As a therapist, my goal is to help individuals establish and live an authentic sense of self with integrity, self-compassion, and deep self-understanding.

I incorporate both the mind (Internal Family Systems Therapy and Object Relations Therapy) and the body (Sensorimotor Somatic Psychotherapy) to bring a whole-person focus into the therapy work.

I am also always interested in a person’s spiritual views and encourage a spiritual life of any sort to support the fuller development of a healthy sense of self.

Credentials

I have ten years of therapy experience and have been working in mental health across university, in-patient, out-patient, military, and private practice settings.

In my commitment to using and always letting research supported models of therapy guide my day-to-day work, I am always engaging in continuing education, certifications, and collegial consultations to further develop my skills.

Personal Life

I currently reside in Los Angeles, CA. In addition to being a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in CA, WA, and NC, I have several personal hobbies.

In my free time, I enjoy reading, writing, time with friends and family, and engaging in my spiritual practice.
